Lately, I’ve also found just as much satisfaction in helping others experience that same pride in making their own bamboo fly rods.Like many of you, I struggled to find affordable tools and parts to make my own rods. So, I started making my own tooling—and now, I can offer tooling to help you make your own bamboo fly rods a small bit easier.

Baginski Beveler Wheel Sets

A Baginski Beveler is a rough beveler allowing you to keep your beveled bamboo strips at a near 60o angle while saving hundreds of manual planing strokes.

Machined from 6061 aluminum, these beveler wheels are built for precision and durability. Each set includes two wheels, a spacer, and a tracing template for your sanding belt.Specifications:
- Diameter: 2.990”
- Thickness: .700” per wheel
- Bevel Face Width: .500”+
- Shaft Bore: 1/2” diameter
- Gap Width: .500”+ (without washer or sandpaper)
- Relief Cut: .150” on the outside for easy mounting on a 6” bench grinder motor
- Includes a washer to prevent binding when mounting sandpaperI personally run mine on a 1/6 HP 6” Sears bench grinder, but they’ll work with any 6" bench grinder motor. You’ll need to mount your own sanding belt using the included template for precise fitting.Price: $100 per set (two wheels, spacer, and template)
